Overview

ESENOIL is a consumer cooking oil brand offering a range of everyday kitchen essentials, including sesame oil, sunflower oil, and olive oil. As part of its digital expansion, the brand sought to create a mobile-first shopping and engagement platform that would simplify product discovery while strengthening its connection with modern households. Arde Interactive was engaged to design the complete UI/UX experience for the ESENOIL mobile application.

Challenge

The cooking oil category is highly functional and price-driven, often lacking strong digital engagement or brand differentiation. ESENOIL needed an app experience that could go beyond basic e-commerce by creating a lifestyle-driven platform that connects food, health, and convenience.

 

The primary challenge was to structure a user journey that felt simple and intuitive for everyday users, while also encouraging exploration through recipes, expert tips, and promotional offers. The experience had to remain visually appetising, easy to navigate, and accessible to a broad audience.

Approach

Our approach centred on clarity, warmth, and usability. We designed a clean interface supported by a friendly colour palette inspired by natural ingredients and kitchen environments. Visual hierarchy and spacing were carefully structured to ensure that products, offers, and content could be scanned effortlessly.

Navigation was simplified through clear iconography and a consistent bottom menu system, allowing users to move between shopping, recipes, and programs without friction. Content blocks were designed to balance commerce with inspiration, making the platform feel like a cooking companion rather than only a retail app.

Solution

A mobile-first UI system was developed with large visuals, rounded components, and approachable typography to create a welcoming digital environment. Product listings were presented with clear imagery, pricing, and quick-action icons to streamline purchasing decisions.

 

To extend engagement beyond transactions, the app design integrates recipe content, cooking guidance, and expert-led programs. Promotional banners and seasonal campaigns were incorporated into the layout without disrupting usability, ensuring that marketing communication feels integrated rather than intrusive.

The overall interface balances brand presence with functionality, ensuring that ESENOIL’s identity is visible while the user experience remains intuitive and efficient.
